The local kanban for orchestrating your AI coding agents.
Same engine as the CLI — Hono server embedded, Svelte UI in a native window.

Other downloads
The board, in your dock
Drag-and-drop kanban with live ETAs, sub-task progress bars, and the orchestrator's ▶ ⏸ ⏹ trio in the topbar.
What ships with Desktop
Same engine as the CLI, packaged for the people who don't live in a terminal.
Native kanban board
Drag-and-drop tasks across columns. Open a card for sub-tasks, scopes, dependencies, and source links.

Live SSE feed of every run: status, claimed scopes, agent stdout, retries, artifacts. Reproducible from history.
Agent & repo management
Add Claude Code, Codex, or your custom command. Manage worktrees, claims, hooks, and connectors from the UI.
How it's built
Desktop is just an Electron shell around the same Hono server (@backlog/server) and Svelte board UI (@backlog/board-ui) that backlog serve already runs. One code path, one feature surface.
- Main process boots
startServer({ host: "127.0.0.1", port: 0, workspace })on a random local port BrowserWindowloadshttp://127.0.0.1:<port>withcontextIsolationon,nodeIntegrationoff- Workspace picker resolves the registry (
~/.backlog/projects.json), persists choice inuserData/state.json - Clean shutdown on
before-quitcloses SSE streams and frees the port - No telemetry, no signup, no network calls outside the workspace itself
In the meantime
The CLI already serves the exact same UI in your browser:
$ npm i -g backlog $ backlog init ✓ created .backlog/ with config + state files $ backlog board → Backlog board listening at http://127.0.0.1:7878 # Same kanban, same orchestrator. The Desktop app just removes the browser tab.
