Real Use Case
When a new order is recorded in Shopify, Bit Flows starts the workflow inside WordPress. It captures the customer details, purchased items, delivery notes, and order value supplied by the Ecommerce trigger.
Bit Flows then sends the selected fields to Github, where a Project Management action creates a project task for fulfillment. The task can include a clear title, due date, assignee, priority, and order context. Conditions can route high-value orders to a dedicated project or skip orders that need no manual work, giving the team an organized queue without copying data.
Bit Flows → Create Workflow → Add Trigger
This trigger starts the workflow whenever the Order Created event occurs in Shopify.
Select the Shopify source you want to automate and complete the connection settings required for the chosen trigger event.
The available options and data depend on the selected platform and trigger event.
Add Action → Github
Choose any available action event provided by Github.
This action sends data from Shopify to Github and performs the selected supported operation automatically.
Map the available data from Shopify to the compatible inputs provided by the selected Github action.
The exact values and inputs depend on the selected trigger and action events, so only map data exposed by those events.
Run the Order Created trigger and verify the selected Github actions:
Confirm that the selected action completes successfully and processes the mapped data in Github.
Then activate your workflow.

Millions of developers and businesses call GitHub home. Whether you're scaling your development process or just learning how to code
Everything you need to know about connecting Shopify and Github with Bit Flows.
No. Bit Flows provides a visual workflow builder in WordPress, so you can select a Shopify trigger, configure a Github action, and map data without writing code.
Available options depend on the integration versions. Typical Ecommerce triggers cover new or updated orders, customers, and products, while Project Management actions can create or update tasks, projects, and related work records. Bit Flows displays all supported options in the workflow builder.
Yes. Bit Flows lets you map available Shopify data to compatible Github fields. You can combine values, add fixed text, and leave out information that the resulting project work does not need.
Bit Flows can run the workflow as soon as a supported Shopify event is detected. Processing speed depends on the selected trigger and connection method, but actions are generally sent to Github shortly after the event.
Yes. You can add conditional logic based on Shopify values such as order status, total, product details, or customer information. Bit Flows can then run, skip, or route the Github action according to your rules.
Bit Flows updates its integrations as supported events, actions, fields, and connection requirements change. Keep Bit Flows updated in WordPress, then review existing workflows when new Shopify or Github options become available.
