Overview

HTTP API reference for InternetData services.

The InternetData HTTP API downloads the IP databases your organization licenses and the Open ones every account may, and manages the account and API keys that download them.

curl -L -o vpn_ip_v1.mmdb "https://internetdata.io/api/v2/database/download?id=vpn_ip_v1&format=mmdb&apikey=$KEY"

This documentation is generated using our public OpenAPI specification. The spec is the source of truth: clients, SDKs, and the API playground all derive from it.

API Reference

All APIs have reference documentation available and are grouped by broad categories.

  • Database v2: the current API. List what your organization licenses, download it or any Open database, and fetch checksums and history.
  • Account: who a credential belongs to, and what it may do right now.
  • Organization: the organization a credential is scoped to, and its members.
  • API keys: list, create, rotate, revoke and reveal your organization's keys.
  • Authorization: the OAuth endpoints a program uses to sign a person in.
  • Database: the v1 endpoints, still served for existing integrations.

Which credential each one takes is on Authentication. If you'd rather not call the API directly, the official client libraries in twelve languages and the CLI wrap the database endpoints for you.
