ChatGPT

Use InternetData in ChatGPT on the web: look into our IP databases and which ones you hold, signed in with your account.

See on GitHub

ChatGPT can look into any of our IP databases and tell you which ones your organization holds. It connects to our hosted MCP server, https://mcp.internetdata.io/mcp, you sign in with your InternetData account, and every tool is read-only.

Add it to ChatGPT

In ChatGPT on the web, go to Plugins, click + and choose Add custom MCP server. Name it InternetData, enter https://mcp.internetdata.io/mcp as the server URL and choose OAuth. If ChatGPT asks how to register, choose its Client ID Metadata Document: there's no client ID or secret to enter. Create it, install it, and when ChatGPT asks, sign in, pick which of your organization's API keys the connection uses, and approve. Your workspace's policies decide whether you can add a server, so if the option isn't there, ask your workspace admin.

Then type @ in a chat, pick InternetData and ask something like "Which IP databases are we licensed for, and how big is the latest VPN build?".

Your API key

ChatGPT never sees the key; our server uses it on your behalf. The key needs the db.download scope, which your organization's Default key has. Databases are licensed by contract, except the Open ones, which any organization's key downloads under CC BY-SA 4.0. For the rest, see the API documentation or request an evaluation. Approving needs permission to share your organization's API keys, and asks you to confirm it's you. You can disconnect it at any time from the console, under Settings > Sessions & devices > Connected applications; access ends within about a minute.
