Introduction
Jest is a platform for publishing, distributing, and monetizing interactive entertainment apps and games. Designed for instant accessibility and deep user engagement, Jest is built around three core pillars:
- Web Runtime: Runs natively on the web, eliminating download friction and enabling instant, cross-platform access on any device.
- Messaging Notifications: Uses native SMS and RCS channels to deliver dynamic, personalized notification messages directly to users, driving re-engagement and player retention.
- Digital Wallet Payments: Integrates seamlessly with digital wallets for frictionless, secure in-app transactions and monetization.

Whether you are launching a lightweight game or a full-scale entertainment app, this documentation will guide you through integrating the Jest SDK and leveraging these core capabilities.
Who is Jest for?
Jest serves two primary audiences:
- Users - discover, launch, and return to apps and games
- Developers - build, publish, and operate apps and games using the Jest SDK
How the platform works
Jest consists of three main components:
Main Platform
The main platform lives at https://jest.com.
It functions as a web-based super-app - an application that contains other applications. Users can:
- Sign up using their phone number
- Discover apps and games
- Launch apps and games instantly in their browser
Apps run inside a sandboxed environment and communicate with the platform through the Jest SDK.
Jest SDK
The Jest SDK enables apps to access core platform capabilities, including:
- User authentication, identity, and state management
- Messaging notifications (SMS, RCS, and on-platform)
- Secure in-app purchases and subscriptions
Apps and games built with Phaser, PixiJS, Cocos, Three.js, Babylon.js, Construct 3, Godot, Unity (WebGL), and other web engines can integrate the SDK.
Developer Console
The Developer Console lives at https://jest.com/developers.
This is where developers:
- Create and configure apps
- Upload new builds
- Configure products and pricing
- Manage media assets and notifications
- Submit apps for review
- Monitor analytics and moderation events
Typical user journey
- A user visits Jest.com and browses available apps and games.
- An app launches instantly in guest mode.
- The app prompts registration via SMS/RCS to save progress and subscribe to notifications.
- The app can re-engage the user later through notifications.
Unlike traditional app stores, Jest uses messaging as its primary engagement channel and web-based checkout instead of native in-app purchase systems.
In the following sections, you’ll learn how to integrate the Jest SDK, configure your app in the Developer Console, and publish your app to the platform.
