Buy-me-a-coffee style support payments via your own Stripe account — one-time, monthly and yearly, with blocks for form, wall, goal and more.
Description
Peak Donate lets your visitors support you the buy-me-a-coffee way — except the money goes straight into your own Stripe account. No middleman, no extra fees on top of Stripe’s, no account your supporters have to create.
Support the way you like
- One-time, monthly and yearly support — each interval can be offered or removed per form.
- Quantity mode: supporters buy N × a product you define (coffee, pizza, anything — with its own emoji, label and unit price).
- Amount mode: supporters choose a free amount, with configurable presets and a custom field.
- Supporters can leave their name and a message, and decide themselves whether the message appears publicly.
Blocks, composed your way
- Donation Form — the form shell; its inner parts are blocks of their own, so you can remove, reorder and style them individually: Price Line, Name Field, Message Field and the Support Intervals with one block per selectable interval.
- Supporter Wall — the latest supporters with their public messages, configurable wording templates and optional relative time.
- Donation Goal — an honest progress bar towards a goal, counting all completed donations.
- Floating Donate Button — a site-wide floating button that opens the donation form in a dialog.
- Donation Confirmation — the thank-you card shown to supporters returning from checkout, with an optional membership-portal link for subscribers.
All blocks use the native block supports (colors, typography, spacing, borders, shadow) plus a single accent color per block that automatically keeps its contrast readable.
Stripe is the source of truth
Payments run through Stripe-hosted Checkout. The plugin keeps only a local read-cache of donations that can be rebuilt at any time — via webhook, from the admin list’s sync button, or with wp peakdon sync. Supporter name, message and wall visibility are stored as metadata on the Stripe charge itself and stay editable from the WordPress admin as well as the Stripe dashboard.
Privacy built in
Integrates with the WordPress personal-data export and erasure tools, and supporters control the visibility of their own messages.
Peak Donate ships with a full German (de_DE) translation.
Installation
- Install and activate the plugin.
- Open Donate → Settings and connect your Stripe account: enter your secret key, pick your currency and set up your products.
- Configure the Stripe webhook with the endpoint and signing secret shown in the settings, and select your thank-you page (it should contain the Donation Confirmation block).
- Add the Donation Form — and any of the other blocks — to your pages.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Peak Donate take a cut of my donations?
No. Payments go directly into your own Stripe account; only Stripe’s regular fees apply.
Do my supporters need an account?
No. Checkout happens on Stripe’s hosted payment page — supporters pay and are sent back to your thank-you page.
Where is donation data stored?
Stripe is the source of truth. The plugin keeps a local cache for the wall, the goal bar and the admin list, and that cache can always be rebuilt from Stripe.
Can supporters manage or cancel their subscription?
Yes. When you configure a customer-portal login URL in the settings, subscribers get a portal link on the thank-you page after checkout.
How do supporters’ messages appear on the wall?
Only if the supporter leaves the “show my message” checkbox enabled. You can also toggle the visibility of any message from the admin list afterwards.
