Snow and flowers/grass do not layer correctly

I wanted to report a possible issue I noticed. With some mods, such as VanillaBackport and nomansland, the small ground flowers appear to replace snow instead of being covered by it. In other words, they seem to take the place of snow rather than being covered by snow.

I'm not sure whether this is intended behavior or a compatibility issue, but I thought it would be worth mentioning. If you have time, could you please take a look?
