Fix Docker build by copying .ruby-version before bundle install - #4677
Conversation
The Gemfile reads the .ruby-version file to determine the Ruby version. If this file is not present during `bundle install`, the build fails. This change ensures that .ruby-version is copied along with the Gemfile and Gemfile.lock. Co-authored-by: CloCkWeRX <[email protected]>

This PR fixes a failing Docker build where
bundle installwould error out because it couldn't find the.ruby-versionfile. TheGemfilecontainsruby File.read('.ruby-version'), so the file must be present in the build context beforebundle installis executed.I've updated the
Dockerfileto include.ruby-versionin the initialCOPYcommand.Verified the fix by:
bundle installin the sandbox with and without the file (after adjusting the Ruby version to match the sandbox environment).spec/models/member_spec.rb) to ensure the application remains functional.Dockerfileto ensure the file is copied to the correct location.PR created automatically by Jules for task 8858247702805966576 started by @CloCkWeRX
