My name is Abasi Ahmad, a Software Developer currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.
I am the co-founder and full-stack developer of OpenMusabaqah, an open-source platform for organizing and judging Quran competitions in real time.
I contribute to the entire project lifecycle, including analysis, development, deployment, hosting, and maintenance.
The platform provides dedicated portals for participants, judges, and administrators.
OpenMusabaqah connects open-source technology with cultural and educational initiatives.
My goal is to scale the project with SaaS capabilities, multi-organization support, advanced dashboards, and real-time features, while making it more reusable and community-driven.

Minimal setup: One VM with 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM and 40 GB SSD, running Linux, Nginx, the application backend, database and required services.
Desired setup: A more scalable infrastructure with 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 100 GB SSD or more, automated CI/CD, monitoring, regular backups, and the possibility of adding additional instances as the number of organizations and competitions grows.
Main purpose: These resources will allow us to deploy and maintain the current OpenMusabaqah platform while developing its next version with SaaS capabilities, multi-organization support, real-time services, improved reliability and scalability.
