To repro
- Set the keyboard to Russian
- Start PowerShell
- Set the edit mode to Emacs
- This is most likely in your profile already
- Alternatively, switch to English keyboard to enter
Set-PSReadLineOption -EditMode Emacs
You will see an error like this:
