Install from the Store does not seem to allow for PowerShelI to be associated with .ps1 files #20039

Closed as duplicate

Description

@kilasuit

How do I associate .ps1 files with the Powershell executable?
I installed Powershell from the Microsoft Store, and when I double click on .ps1 files, the "Select an app to open this .ps1 file" context menu appears, but I don't see Powershell as an option on it

    I tried looking into this as I alsi have installed PowerShell from the store too (& the preview version) but neither of them can be picked in the picker as part of the Default App settings page either. I think this is something with how PowerShell gets registered on install and this will need further investigation

    I kinda wanna say this may have been fixed but will test this again on a new build sometime between now and mid-jan, so assigning to me, unless others in the community can & want to test and confirm if this is still the case.
