Commit 769fd98 modified the "Staging distribution artifacts" to use deploy:deploy directly, instead of using a Maven lifecycle goal. This causes release builds to fail with the following error message:

Error:  Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-deploy-plugin:3.1.4:deploy (default-cli) on project log4j-api: The packaging plugin for project log4j-api did not assign a file to the build artifact -> [Help 1]

    For the record, 769fd98 uses deploy:deploy and only that, since it wants to execute only that goal of that particular plugin. I see #401 doesn't even need any deployments, which is an improvement. That said, please avoid replacing deploy:deploy with deploy.
