Description

Currently the build watch command can run endlessly, possibly causing LLM interactions to halt.

Changes

  • adds a --timeout flag to the watch command so that users/AI agents can set a reasonable timeout and not have build watching hang
    • accepts durations such as 30s or 20m
    • omitted or --timeout 0 preserves unlimited watching
    • -ive durations are rejected
    • expiry stops API resolution/polling and returns a nonzero error. It does not cancel the build

Testing

  • Tests have run locally (with go test ./...)
  • Code is formatted (with go fmt ./...)

Example

bk build watch 429 --pipeline my-pipeline --timeout 20m
