Indonesian Conversation Bot

Telegram bot that helps English-speaking Bali expats practice Bahasa Indonesia through scenario-driven role-play with text + voice, Claude-powered conversation partners, and Haiku-powered grammar/pronunciation corrections.

1. Copy .env.example → .env and fill values.
2. Place Google Cloud service-account JSON at ./secrets/gcp-tts.json.
3. docker compose up -d.
4. Talk to the bot.

Quiz content is generated offline from The Indonesian Way Anki decks.

1. Install ffmpeg (brew install ffmpeg).
2. Put the 8 .apkg files in .cache/anki/module-1.apkg … module-8.apkg (or set deckIds in scripts/anki-decks.config.ts to attempt auto-download).
3. npm run prep:anki → writes content/quiz/*.yaml + content/quiz/audio/*.ogg.
4. Commit content/quiz/. The bot loads it at startup; audio file_ids are cached in Mongo on first send.
