   Hi, that's a good idea. Even though a code search API is already available, GitHub (the platform) is currently working on a better code search and its API, and we think it's best to wait for that to become available first. Unfortunately, I do not know when that might be.

   Good find, @samcoe. Closing as duplicate of #3978 — even though that one is closed, you can follow the thread for updates. We may reopen it or comment there in the future, or someone could advertise their own extension.
