| Filename | Overview |
|---|---|
| internal/api/core/tool_errors.go | Passes reason codes to the safe-message selector and maps missing configuration paths to an accurate public message without changing the transport schema. |
| internal/api/core/tools_test.go | Covers the corrected 404 payload and confirms a mismatched reason cannot override the error-code-specific message. |
| internal/mcp/hosted_proxy_test.go | Verifies the hosted MCP projection produces the exact reason-aware missing-path message. |
| internal/daemon/daemon_extension_agent_fixture_e2e_integration_test.go | Strengthens the managed extension-session regression to assert the exact hosted MCP text. |
| docs/superpowers/plans/2026-08-13-config-path-error-message.md | Adds explicit Web/Docs Impact sections to both backend implementation tasks, resolving the previous review finding. |
| skills/compozy/references/configuration.md | Documents the stable provider-visible result for an absent configuration path. |

- Around line 299-321: Extend the regression assertions in the “Should describe
a missing config path without reporting the tool missing” test to verify that
payload.Error.ToolID remains toolspkg.ToolIDConfigGet, while preserving the
existing status, code, message, and reason checks.
In `@internal/mcp/hosted_proxy_test.go`:
- Line 16: Remove the internal/api/core import from the hosted proxy test and
construct the response fixture directly with contract.ToolErrorResponse in the
relevant test setup. Keep serializer-specific coverage in
internal/api/core/tools_test.go and preserve the hosted projection assertions
without introducing any API-layer dependency.

Changes requested
-
Remove the new internal/api/core import from internal/mcp/hosted_proxy_test.go. internal/CLAUDE.md requires dependencies to flow downward and says no package imports api. Build the transport fixture directly as contract.ToolErrorResponse in the MCP test, while keeping serializer behavior covered in internal/api/core. The runtime behavior is correct; this is a test-layer architecture violation.
-
Update the required QA and impact evidence for the changed public error message. The existing scenario docs/qa/scenarios/ET-compozy-native-tool-invocation.md still records pass even though this PR changes the user-visible config-path error. Reset it to untested, execute it, and record the evidence. Add the complete Compozy Impact Audit and Web/Docs Impact to the new plan/spec artifacts, including native tools, extensibility/hooks, workspace isolation, and the official Compozy skill.
-
Make the added plan executable under this repository workflow: record the confirmed reproduction before the fix, and remove or replace the REQUIRED references to unavailable superpowers skills.
The ToolID assertion suggestion is optional: existing UDS coverage preserves that unchanged field.
