Flatcar Support #83
Description
Activity
We offer support for Flatcar Linux now. Just have to contact us. :)
But we're reading more info about this atm. Expect something around the end of the month. Thanks for the infos @blixtra. By 'we offer support' you mean commercial support?
I have switched a few of our on-premise systems running CoreOS to Flatcar and i'm quite happy about it! ;)
Great to hear! And yes, we'll be announcing more about that in a couple weeks.
As far as CoreRoller goes, we (kinvolk) will also be announcing a modernized open-source fork of the project that we will be using in our commercial offering.
But it's easy to use CoreRoller with Flatcar Linux now. You just have to define it as an application and point it to the right sources. You can find the links to the required info here: https://www.flatcar-linux.org/releases/
Were the hell was my head? :P
Thanks for the tip!btw, Nebraska (https://github.com/kinvolk/nebraska) is the fork that Kinvolk has modernized and maintains.

@c4milo what does that not allow you to do that you'd otherwise want to?
Howdy,
since CoreOS has been absorbed by RedHat and is being merged into Fedora CoreOS, which doesn't seem to be the CoreOS we all know, has anyone explored the possibility to support Flatcar Linux (a drop-in of CoreOS)?
Thanks,
Brando
