[BUG] The valuesOverride parameter for the monitoringAgents bundle in the Kubernetes entity does not work #1560

Closed

Description

Describe the bug
The valuesOverride parameter for the monitoringAgents bundle in the Kubernetes entity does not work.

It says here that you can override the values for monitoring agents, but this isn't built into the monitoring agents code itself:

https://github.com/cozystack/cozystack/tree/main/packages/system/monitoring-agents/templates

Environment

  • Cozystack version: 0.37.2
  • Provider: on-prem

    @dosubot

    Hi Petr Dondukov (@kinseii)! I'm Dosu and I’m helping the cozystack team.

    The valuesOverride parameter for monitoringAgents is documented as a way to override monitoring agent settings, but it isn't actually processed by the monitoring agents' Helm chart templates—so any values you set there have no effect on the deployed agents. This is a known gap in the current implementation and means the override feature is non-functional for monitoring agents in Cozystack v0.37.2 on-prem environments. The official documentation lists the parameter but doesn't mention any limitations or workarounds, and there are similar reports of override parameters not being respected for other components in certain environments, suggesting this is a broader issue with how overrides are handled in some bundles (source).

    To reply, just mention @dosu.
