currently use v0.0.0-20230526161137-0005af68ea54
should be updated to v0.0.0-20240823204242-4ba0660f739c
currently conflict with other packages will have 'ambiguous import error' during build.

The genproto dependency was removed in Feb 2025 via PR #2169. This issue can be closed it seems.
