Thanks for the feature request. This is something we would like to support but it requires integrating the analysis server with DevTools which we haven't done yet. The number of thumbs up for this issue will help us know when to prioritize this issue. For example, the network page was prioritized based on the number of thumbs up on that feature request.
It would increase iteration speed if the Layout Explorer had an "apply change" feature after making a change. It would save the updated code of the app.
