The 'v' hotkey is not working to open Flutter DevTools for a web profile build. It does work to open DevTools for a debug web build.

Flutter DevTools isn't supported for Flutter Web apps running in profile mode.

However, I am able to reproduce showing it as an option if I run:

    • flutter run --profile -d chrome
    • h to show all hot keys
    • v Open Flutter DevTools is the only option shown

Furthermore, the documentation at https://docs.flutter.dev/testing/build-modes#profile makes it sound like it should be an option.

    AIs:

    • Remove it as an option from the hot keys in Flutter Web profile mode
    • Update the documentation to make it clear that it is not supported

Note: It might make sense to support this as part of the project to add App Size analysis for dart2js applications.
