Avoid MissingPluginException by detecting that GeneratedPluginRegistrant is out of sync with pubspec.yaml #11797
I think the underlying issue is that you need to flutter run on the command line at least once before building in Xcode, to ensure that GeneratedPluginRegistrant.m is updated.
I am testing with the current Flutter master and google_sign_in: 0.3.1. If I run flutter packages get and then build with Xcode, I get the error you described. If I then flutter run, the error goes away.
@theobouwman, can you let me know if flutter run resolves your issue? If so, perhaps we should figure out if there's a way we can detect that GeneratedPluginRegistrant.m is out of date and show a more informative error message, or ideally update it automatically.

Does anyone know if a fix for this has been found/made? I'm having a similar issue
in xcode - 'google_sign_in/GoogleSignInPlugin.h' file not found - using google_sign_in: "^3.0.0" for my flutter project.

Ran into the same issue building for Android on Mac.
Resolved by doing a
flutter runon the command line. This allowed me to run again on Android through Intellij.[-]MissingPluginException google_sign_in[/-][+]Avoid MissingPluginException by detecting that GeneratedPluginRegistrant is out of sync with pubspec.yaml[/+]collinjackson commentedon Dec 5, 2017
Unassigning myself since I'm not currently working on this. /cc @mravn-google

Is this a plugin framework maintenance issue that we should fix in the coming months?

Yes, I think we should.
