Camera always capture image as jpg, not able to capture HEIF/HEIC extension #119795
Trying to capture image and also done settings (Camera > Formats > High Effieiency) but it always return jpg image. How can i capture image in iPhone with Heif or Heic extension?
@patelnirav48 What device are you using? I tried to play it on my iPhone X and I couldn't. I tested some scenarios and was unable to reproduce the error.
I use this project flutter_camera_demo and update to current version of camera changes.
@Mairramer I dont have that now, but i’ve updated this method in my existing camera library just to check heif implementation based on your branch changes.

@nirav-eximiousglobal
Currently, the temporary captured file is saved in
jpgformat:https://github.com/flutter/plugins/blob/dbf8d8d0734287c99b57f52e5fbb897ccd60f1a1/packages/camera/camera_avfoundation/ios/Classes/FLTCam.m#L243-L246
Labeling the issue as a proposal for supporting High Efficiency image format.
