Ideally we would use C56D.1 since that usage corresponds exactly to what we are doing, but since Apple considers the plugin to be its own SDK it doesn't quality for that due to:
This reason may not be declared if your third-party SDK was created primarily to wrap required reason API(s).
Currently the best option available for us is 1C8F.1
Declare this reason to access user defaults to read and write information that is only accessible to the apps, app extensions, and App Clips that are members of the same App Group as the app itself.
That applies right now, but if we add suiteName support we would need to figure out how to restrict it to the app group (maybe via name prefix checks?).
We have reached out to see if there's a way to get to a point where we can use something more like C56D.1.
(Another option is that we could, in theory, fold shared_preferences into the engine so that C56D.1 would be applicable, but that's a major change to make just for this.)
