   This change was reverted because Dart-Code had not moved over (#172883) so should be looked at again in future.

   My suggestion would be to wait a quarter or two (after the next or the subsequent release branch is made) to allow 3-6mo for users of the master branch and 6-9mo for users of the stable branch.
