SystemChrome.setSystemUIOverlayStyle(SystemUiOverlayStyle(statusBarColor: theme.themeData.primaryColor)) does not work when targeting android 15 api 35 #163545
This issue is assigned to @jesswrd but has had no recent status updates. Please consider unassigning this issue if it is not going to be addressed in the near future. This allows people to have a clearer picture of what work is actually planned. Thanks!
@Argaros the update is to our documentation saying that android removed this ability. Not a change in behavior.
If you want the status bar color to change you will need to put a widget pinned to the top of the screen with the color you want.

@ marciofrayze didn't liked my comment, wonder why. If you don't complain things will never change my friend.

so the framework already have comments that mentions that :
flutter/packages/flutter/lib/src/services/system_chrome.dart
Lines 716 to 727 in 3159262
which in return calls :
flutter/engine/src/flutter/shell/platform/android/io/flutter/plugin/platform/PlatformPlugin.java
Lines 120 to 124 in 3159262
that calls :
flutter/engine/src/flutter/shell/platform/android/io/flutter/plugin/platform/PlatformPlugin.java
Lines 428 to 437 in 3159262
so both the framework and the engine mentions that , so i think this can be closed

Yes I agree this can be closed now that the documentation is in place.
