[Google3 Bug]: iOS, Images replaced with pink fill when coming out of background #166668
@evageeva
Is this occuring in production environment only ?
I tried a sample code from the linked issue running on iPhone 15 device but was unable to replicate the error.
2. Trigger a notification to be sent to the app
Is this like a firebase messaging notification or with deep link ?
magenta colored images are a generic error state. Generally I'd expect to see some sort of message logged in Xcode (if you are running through there). Otherwise, this is not necessarily related to similar looking magenta issues.
Correct. Resuming the app from background or kill the app and reopen it after (15-30)+ mins
Sorry, can you expand on that? That sounds like it may be a different issue. If you get magenta images after killing and reopening the app can you file another issue please with reproduction steps?
I've tried to reproduce this with the reproduction steps slava came up with in with Flutter 3.32.8 ( #171785 (comment) ).
Here is the project I used to reproduce it: eleven.zip
Here is a video of it working fine (the glyphs are png images):
background.mov
I am unable to reproduce this problem with the given reproduction information and the reproduction steps our engineer came up with to reproduce the problem don't demonstrate the problem in the latest Flutter version. Considering all that, I'm closing this issue because it is unactionable without reproduction steps that demonstrate a problem. If people are seeing this issue still and want it addressed they will have to come up with reproduction steps, feel free to build off of my example. Maybe my example is missing something, or users are seeing the same symptom with a different cause?

So far, we have only seen this in the preprod QA environment. No user reports from prod yet, nor have I been able to reproduce with the dev app.
It is a firebase notification.

Keeping the issue open as I am unable to replicate the reported behavior.

Unable to reproduce the issue, but one of the users reported it with a screenshot of an asset image. Network images loaded perfectly.
