Shift+Insert is a standard paste shortcut on Windows. I am running KDE Plasma 6 on X11 right now, and Shift+Insert pastes everywhere other than Flutter apps on this Linux installation. I have read that Shift+Insert is not a standard Paste shortcut on OS X, so this behaviour is expected to be different on different systems. But, on a system where I can Shift+Insert in Chrome and Visual Studio Code and Kate/Notepad, I expect to be able to Shift+Insert in Flutter apps too.

Something like this??
But this is platform-agnostic and would enable Shift+Insert on systems where it isn't part of the paradigm. (I'm assuming that's not okay?)

I don't have an OS X machine to test on, but I just did some searches to see what I could find, and as far as I can tell:
For what it's worth, and all that... 😛

Thanks for the report. I tried on mac desktop, but it doesn't have
insertkey, although with ctrl + v it does paste the text properly. I also tried with physical magic keyboard but it doesn't have aninsertkey.I'll keep the issue open for team's tracking.

Oh, yeah, I do recall reading a post somewhere where someone said that the same physical key is marked "Help" or something.
ETA: To be extra sure, you could plug in a USB keyboard with PC-style markings, if you have access to one. If what I read is true, OS X will still see it as the "Help" key, but you'll at least be confidently pressing a button marked "Insert". 😁

Another observation: When Flutter is rendering to a web browser, whatever the browser supports works. Flutter's shortcut mappings seem to be irrelevant (or at least are overlaid either onto or by the browser's built-in shortcuts). Running against Windows, with currently-released Flutter, the IBM CUA style shortcuts don't work, but if I launch the test app within Chrome, they do work thanks to Chrome. 🙂
Add support for Shift-Delete, Ctrl-Insert and Shift-Insert (#178561)
