Steps to Reproduce

Sometimes, I cannot select and highlight the text in TextField with mouse.

  • I used the latest Flutter SDK and GTK embedding.
  1. Enter to some characters in the TextField.
  2. Select text with mouse left click and moving.

    From the video it looks like it's happening once the text overflows, at which point it's scrolling instead of selecting.

    The correct behavior for mouse input devices would be to scroll only while selecting.

    We don't generally put platform tags on issues that aren't platform specific. That's why the Linux tag was removed, rather than adding every platform where most input is common.
