Single-character wrapping in title bar for swipe-to-dismiss demo on iPhone 5 #6450
I would expect either the whole word to wrap, or probably better to have it change phone size or ellipsize. We probably want some standardized titlebar behavior here.
AHA! We have hit a corner case here. Changing the title of the LeaveBehindDemo (examples/flutter_gallery/lib/demo/leave_behind_demo.dart) to 'Swipe items to dismmmiss' and setting centerTitle: true for its AppBar, causes a linebreak to be inserted before the final 's' . Adding an additional 'm' to 'dismmmiss' restores normal ellipsis behavior.

We need to add a text overflow effect to app bar
HansMuller commentedon Oct 21, 2016
I'll do that now. Should be a quick fix.

OK, this is not a quick fix. We're already turning on the ellipsis for toolbar titles (including this one).
On Android, with AppBar centerTitle:true, and 'Swipe items to dismissssssss' as the app's title, all is well:

Will ask @jason-simmons to take a look.

#6448 is probably a duplicate of this issue.
