gfql cuDF: rows(binding_ops=...) zero-hop empty multi-hop seed row raises 'str' object has no attribute 'has_nulls' (pre-existing on master) #2068

Description

@lmeyerov

Found while receipting #2067 with the local cuDF lane (cudf 25.10, TEST_CUDF=1); reproduces identically on plain master 60bb843, so it is not from any open PR.

graphistry/tests/test_compute_chain.py::TestChainBindingsTable::test_direct_rows_binding_ops_supports_zero_hop_empty_multihop_seed_row_on_cudf fails with:

AttributeError: 'str' object has no attribute 'has_nulls'
graphistry.compute.exceptions.GFQLTypeError: [invalid-node-reference] Error executing 'rows': 'str' object has no attribute 'has_nulls' | field: function | value: 'rows'

raised inside row/pipeline.py::_gfql_connected_bindings_state (via _gfql_connected_bindings_row_table_from_ops) on the cuDF engine only; the pandas twin passes. A string is being handed where a cuDF Series is expected on the zero-hop / empty multi-hop seed path. The cuDF test lane runs in no CI job, which is why it is unreported.
