I'm an engineer in the Bay Area working on brain-computer interfaces at Zyphra. Though I am a mathematician by training, my graduate research has centered on computational neuroscience.
Previously, I was a PhD student at Columbia University in the Statistics Department. Before that, I was a master's student in the School of Engineering at Harvard.
I’m currently working on making state-space models extremely fast and memory efficient. My personal (professional) website is jonhuml.com. You can also find me at my Substack or on LinkedIn. Please feel free to reach out about any code or projects!
