What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. load the lispbuilder-sdl-examples asdf package.
2. Call the circle-2 function.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output is for the example to run without any hitches.
For me the example runs for a little bit (seemingly random amounts of time, all
under a minute) and then I receive a simple-error as follows:
debugger invoked on a SIMPLE-ERROR: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
Type HELP for debugger help, or (SB-EXT:QUIT) to exit from SBCL.
restarts (invokable by number or by possibly-abbreviated name):
0: [ABORT] Exit debugger, returning to top level.
("bogus stack frame")
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am using the latest lispbuilder-sdl, and SBCL 1.48 (32-bit) on Windows 7
(64-bit) and Vista (32-bit).
Please provide any additional information below.
This is not a problem isolated to that example, this happens on various other
examples, though as this one, it's very random when it occurs.
Additionally I have had it happen on my own projects, and it seems to happen
more frequently when I query the keyboard/mouse states.
I have no evidence to suggest that this issue also occurs on LispWorks, and
have tested my own code as well as all of the examples on LispWorks without any
issues on Windows 7 (64-bit) nor Windows Vista (32-bit).
I have posted a bug report on the SBCL database here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/sbcl/+bug/787774
And as noted there, I found this blog post from a while back of somebody with a
similar issue:
