    Huawei got a "ignore optimization list", which apps shouldn't be optimized for a good akku experience. So mabye the system had closed the app and caused a break while uploading. Huawei is something special. :D
    Could you please check your app settings? ;)

    I am aware of this setting, however I never navigate away from the app, nor close my phone. If I select only one file, it uploads correctly including immediate notifications as 'uploading' and 'uploaded' as normal. However, with this many files, there isn't a single notification or anything. Just seems to be ignored.

    These many files just break the upload process: to upload a file we pass the filepath(s) via intent to our upload system. This fails if there are too many filepaths.
    I see two possible "fixes":

    • limit uploading to e.g. 500 files so that it will always work
    • store the filepaths temporary in the database and pass only a reference

    I would rather use second approach?

    I thought I changed this to use app-wide data singleton which fixed this ages ago? Where do we send filepaths in an intent?

    Here we put the paths in an intent:

    // return the list of selected files (success)
    Intent data = new Intent();
    data.putExtra(EXTRA_CHOSEN_FILES, mFileListFragment.getCheckedFilePaths());
    // set result code
    switch (mBehaviourSpinner.getSelectedItemPosition()) {
    case 0: // move to nextcloud folder
    setResult(RESULT_OK_AND_MOVE, data);
    break;
    case 1: // only upload
    setResult(RESULT_OK_AND_DO_NOTHING, data);
    break;
    case 2: // upload and delete from source
    setResult(RESULT_OK_AND_DELETE, data);
    break;
    }

    This is then a different bug @PakhomGolynga.
    The one we are talking about here is, that after selecting many many files and clicking upload, nothing happens.

    Please open up a new issue for your bug.

    @tobiasKaminsky , I found a similar problem with my issue #369.
