When using the REST API to find out checksums of files, a 404 is returned. #6129

Description

@rontrompert

Steps to reproduce

  1. Run the command:
    curl -u luser:passwd 'https://somehost/remote.php/dav/files/luser/testfolder' -X PROPFIND --data '
    <d:propfind xmlns:d="DAV:">
    <d:prop xmlns:oc="http://owncloud.org/ns">
    oc:checksums/
    </d:prop>
    </d:propfind>' | xmllint --format -

Following the information on: https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/12/developer_manual/client_apis/WebDAV/index.html

Expected behaviour

Tell us what should happen
Get checksums of the files contained in the folder.

Actual behaviour

Tell us what happens instead
The following is returned:

<d:multistatus xmlns:d="DAV:" xmlns:s="http://sabredav.org/ns" xmlns:cal="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:caldav" xmlns:cs="http://calendarserver.org/ns/" xmlns:card="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:carddav" xmlns:oc="http://owncloud.org/ns" xmlns:nc="http://nextcloud.org/ns">
<d:response>
<d:href>/remote.php/dav/files/luser/testfolder/</d:href>
<d:propstat>
<d:prop>
oc:checksums/
</d:prop>
<d:status>HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found</d:status>
</d:propstat>
</d:response>
<d:response>
<d:href>/remote.php/dav/files/luser/testfolder/skype-ubuntu-precise_4.3.0.37-1_i386.deb</d:href>
<d:propstat>
<d:prop>
oc:checksums/
</d:prop>
<d:status>HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found</d:status>
</d:propstat>
</d:response>
</d:multistatus>

using the http://nextcloud.org/ns namespace yields the same result.

    IIRC this is only an attribute that needs to be set during upload and is as of now not calculated on the server side yet. Correct me if I'm wrong - @rullzer

    Yep we only store them. Don't calculate them on the fly etc. That is still a nice feature to have.

    @luffah

    How to check the files are different when synchronizing from another system ? Only with timestamp ?
