Why ppc64le dropped from node:22-alpine3.22, is there plan to re-enable again? #5141
I do see couple of PR's regarding dropping ppc64le, but i didn't get clear reason so opened new issue.
Could you please confirm me why arch: ppc64le is dropped from recent releases of node:22-alpine3.22, i can see it was supported earlier node:20* version.
And is there any plan to re-enable again?
Also it would be helpful if you suggested is there any similar alternative image for node:22-alpine3.22 for ppc64le?

Alpine/musl in general is at best experimental and only undergoes any testing on x64. IMHO it is not a distribution that should be considered suitable for any production use.
In the case of alternate architectures such as ppc64le and s390x those are not even built on our infrastructure so should be considered one level below the "experimental" status of Alpine/x64 and Alpine/aarch64 which are both built as part of the unofficial-builds project. My preference going forward would for us to also stop releasing the Alpine/s390x ones and I intend to propose that in the near future.
Unless there is a driving reason (and someone was to volunteer to maintain it) this situation is unlikely to change. I appreciate this may not be the response you want but it reflects the status and complexity of supporting platforms in this community-driven project at the moment.

Hello Community!
Can i get any update regarding my query?
Just wanted to update I'm able to build node:22-alpine:3.22 locally on ppc64le without any issue, so is there any plan to enable ppc64le again?

TL;DR There are no current plans to re-enable it.
