I may have missed it but was there an issue with using something with slice() to cover all of the skipping? |

There was some discussion of the API in November; see the first thread here: http://mail.scipy.org/pipermail/numpy-discussion/2014-November/thread.html I didn't find the suggestions compelling enough to consider implementing. |
