I'm Beto, a Senior Software Engineer at Grafana Labs with 15+ years building software, from the web to AI and agents.
Front-end at heart, I enjoy working across the whole product: user experience, developer experience, back-end, and architecture. What drives me is building useful things that make a difference in people's everyday lives. Along the way, I've worked with teams at Grafana Labs, Google, Riot Games, and Onrizon Games, among others.
Open source is how I keep learning. Writing and videos are how I share it. I write on my blog and share videos in Portuguese on YouTube about software engineering, open source, and careers in tech.
Based in Lagoa Santa, Minas Gerais, Brazil, and working remotely. Away from the keyboard: family, cats and dogs, games, tennis, basketball, and fantasy and sci-fi books.
- Ovli: An overlay I'm building to keep apps, mini browsers and tools on top of games, streams and work, one shortcut away. Windows 11 only for now, but I have plans for macOS and Linux, like Omarchy and Ubuntu (if you're interested in those platforms, let me know).
- Fad Media: A reader I built for keeping up with feeds and topics: AI briefs, live dashboards and reading notes, generated right in the browser.
- web-ai-sdk: A TypeScript SDK I built to make the browser's built-in AI easier to use: Prompt, Writer, Rewriter, Proofreader, Translator, Summarizer, Language Detector and WebMCP.
- Labuta: A job board I made to help people find remote work in tech. Formerly SeuJob.Tech, but now with bigger plans hehe
- LoFM: A "LoFi" radio I made for anyone who needs to focus, on air 24/7.
