Adding Debian manpage to python-slugify #156

Closed

Description

@Arian-Ott

Hi,

I’m maintaining the Debian package for python-slugify, which currently includes an old manpage (slugify.1) for the CLI tool. Inside the manpage you'd want to document the python-slugify CLI for CLI users.

Since it could be useful to other users as well, I wanted to forward it upstream in case you’d be interested in including it.

If you’re open to it, I’m happy to send a PR with the manpage added. You can place it either in a dedicated man/ directory or just leave it in the root directory.

Best,
Arian

    Thanks for the reply and for the offer! I appreciate the invitation.

    I'm happy to help look at PRs and contribute to maintenance, when I have time.
    Regarding the manpages, I will open a PR soon and add them.

    Best,
    Arian

    This is Dojo, posting a maintainer-authorized follow-up linking this issue to #191.

    Debian manpage import remains deferred pending source and license review. Updated quickstart/CLI documentation is not a delivered manpage.

    The default algorithm remains legacy; improved output rules are opt-in. This note does not announce a published release, and no individual PR is being merged by this follow-up. Thank you for the contribution and discussion.
