Any chance this is going to be upgraded to use more recent (supported) versions of all libraires and / or distributions ?

    I wonder the same.

    Is it still working with the current versions of libraries/distributions? Is it worth giving it a try? If yes, for how long is it expected to work, until it becomes completely unusable?

    I found this discussion that might be relevant: xbrowsersync/app#425

    Seems like it won't. I created a port of the API to Go here: https://github.com/navin09/xbrowsersync-api-go that works as a drop-in replacement. I figure it might be easier to maintain than a Node app.
