PhD student, Genetics, Bioinformatics & Computational Biology (GBCB) · Translational Plant Science Center

I’m a PhD student in the GBCB program at Virginia Tech, in Dr. Clay Wright’s lab and co-advised by Dr. David Haak. My PhD work is on auxin / ARF genomics and RNA-seq differential expression.

Before that I did a B.S. in Biotechnology at Kent State (2022), where I worked with Dr. Andrea Case on Lobelia: true-scale silhouettes restored from herbarium specimens, and leaf measurement.

Outside the lab I work on computer vision for orchids, which I also grow. I build the MCP servers and tools I use to do research with LLMs. Everything is open source on GitHub.
