Revolution as a Cadence of Continuous Learning Does educational revolution require sudden, disruptive change, or a steady rhythm of continuous adaptation? Reflecting on the EAIE Glasgow 2026 theme The Rhythm of Revolution, T4EU advocates for a deliberate, sustainable cadence of innovation – moving past rigid degree structures toward challenge-based learning. 📩 Follow our journey in reimagining European learning environments. Subscribe to the T4EU Newsletter: https://lnkd.in/dic8QFnn ‘Educational revolution is not necessarily about sudden disruption. For me, it is about establishing a new rhythm of continuous, purposeful change — one that gradually transforms how universities teach, collaborate and respond to society. Transform4Europe is contributing to this shift by moving beyond the traditional idea of education as a fixed degree programme delivered within the boundaries of one institution or discipline. Through challenge-based and interdisciplinary learning, shared courses and mobility opportunities, we are creating a more flexible European learning environment where students can engage with real societal challenges and learn across borders. But this new rhythm is also about academic staff. Transformation cannot happen if we simply ask teachers to adopt new tools or methods. We need to create the conditions for them to experiment, collaborate with colleagues from other universities and disciplines, share innovative teaching practices, and develop professionally together. This is where I see T4EU’s particular value: we are not only designing new educational models; we are building a community capable of sustaining them. The rhythm of revolution is therefore not about moving faster for the sake of speed. It is about creating a steady cadence of experimentation, collaboration and learning – and making that change part of how our universities work every day’ – said Tomas Mickevičius, T4EU Steering Committee Member (Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas). Sustained innovation happens when experimentation becomes part of daily academic life. 🔗 Discover T4EU’s interdisciplinary and challenge-based course offer: https://lnkd.in/dGiWDb8A Photo by Małgorzata Dymowska #VoicesInHigherEducation #EAIE2026 #RhythmOfRevolution #T4EU #EdTech #FutureOfLearning

🔬 When connections turn into collaborations 🌍 On 22 and 23 September, Saarland University (Universität des Saarlandes) hosted the T4EU Chemistry and Related Sciences Matchmaking. At the invitation of Prof. Guido Kickelbick researchers from across our alliance came together to explore shared research, teaching, and funding opportunities in chemistry and materials-related sciences. 🧪 The program featured expert talks, insights into research infrastructures, and a poster session, plus information on mobility programs and funding instruments within Transform4Europe. 💬 The takeaway from our participants: "Networks aren't built through emails. Direct contact lays the foundation for future international collaborations." (Ivana Stanimirova-Daszykowska, Uniwersytet Śląski w Katowicach) 🤝 Several participants see the new network as a starting point for joint European proposals. A follow-up meeting in Porto is already being discussed, and first topics for joint activities have been identified. Thank you to everyone who took part and made these two days so productive! #Transform4Europe #Chemistry #MaterialsScience #ResearchCollaboration #HorizonEurope #SaarlandUniversity

Living the Twin Transition through Internal Transformation Can universities drive green and digital transitions in their regions if they don’t transform internally first? At EAIE Glasgow 2026, Transform4Europe emphasized that external impact starts with institutional evolution. 📩 Discover how T4EU implements sustainability and inclusion across partner universities. Subscribe to our newsletter: https://lnkd.in/dic8QFnn ‘Transformation is written in our name, pouring to the very core and every aspect of the Alliance. We’re transforming ourselves as persons, as institutions and trying to have a positive impact on the surrounding community. The transformation is the process by which we are becoming more inclusive, sustainable and interconnected. Therefore, by becoming better selves, we are also directly living our green and inclusive strategies and achieving twin transition on multiple levels’ – said Aleš Oven, T4EU Steering Committee Member (Univerza na Primorskem). By living our green and inclusive strategies at every level, T4EU models the twin transition for European higher education. 🔗 Read more about T4EU’s core transformation strategies: https://lnkd.in/dqvu24ye Photo by University of Primorska #VoicesInHigherEducation #EAIE2026 #RhythmOfRevolution #T4EU #Sustainability #TwinTransition

🌿 WISE: From Widening to Urban Sustainability Innovation and Excellence Sustainable cities don’t just happen in policy papers—they start with the materials we build with, the data we track, and the way researchers actually work together. This week marks the official launch of the WISE initiative (From Widening to Urban Sustainability Innovation and Excellence), bringing partners together at InnoRenew CoE in Izola. Running through 2030 under Horizon Europe and the Transform4Europe (T4EU) alliance, this four-year effort—led by the University of Primorska alongside IQWood and the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region—turns ambition into tangible urban solutions: 🌿 Smarter Urban Environments: Developing cutting-edge sustainable materials, modern city monitoring tools, and cross-border policy transfer models. 🔗 Breaking Down Silos: Connecting labs directly with local industries, city halls, and citizen-scientists, backed by FAIR open data. 🎯 Empowering the Next Generation of Researchers: Revamping career assessment and institutional support in line with modern CoARA and RMA standards. Watch this space as we bridge the gap between academic innovation and the cities we live in. #Transform4Europe #UrbanSustainability #HorizonEurope #OpenScience #GreenInnovation

💚🎓 Voices of resilience: inclusion in action at the University of Trieste What does inclusion look like in practice at a university? At the University of Trieste, supporting students with disabilities means creating an academic environment where accessibility, individual support and equal opportunities are part of everyday university life. 🎥 In this video, Raffaella Pellizzon, Head of Inclusion Processes for People with Disabilities at the University of Trieste (Università degli Studi di Trieste), shares how the university supports students with special needs, including during the important transition from higher education to their professional journey. Her perspective highlights how inclusive practices can help students build confidence, develop their potential and take their next steps with greater independence. 🌟 Inclusion is not only about removing barriers. It is also about creating the conditions in which every student can participate, grow and prepare for their future. #T4EU #Transform4Europe #Accessibility #Inclusion #EqualOpportunities
