Sixty seconds
If you read nothing else, read this
You do not have to apply to anything, and you do not have to know any lore. The camp takes anyone off the boat. Three steps and you are playing, and the first one needs nothing from you at all.

1
Say hello in the camp
Go to
#cd-common. That is the detainee camp and it is open to you right now, with no application and no waiting. Everyone starts as a Contingent Asset, which is just the Corporation's word for somebody it has not assigned to a job yet. -
2
Link your Roblox account
Go to
#verifyand link your Roblox account. It takes about a minute and it is what opens the rest of the server, because until you do it you can only see four channels. You do not have to join the Roblox group to verify, though we would like you to. And you do not have to verify at all if the camp is all you want.

Pick a department, then run /apply
Scroll down to Departments and pick whichever sounds like something you would actually enjoy doing on a Tuesday evening, not whichever sounds most impressive. Then run
/apply: five questions, two minutes, and an answer inside 24 hours either way.Staying in the camp instead is a completely normal choice and quite a lot of people never leave it.
Still not sure? Post in #faq-desk and say what you would rather be
doing, not what you would rather be called. Somebody will point you at
a department.
The premise
What this actually is
PRC is a roleplay group on Roblox. You play somebody who works at a secret site on an island. A government-funded company holds the contract, and the place is being built from nothing.
The site is not finished. That is the whole point. Most groups in this genre hand you a finished facility and you walk the same corridors forever. Here the map is the scoreboard.
Nothing resets. What gets built stays built. The site you are playing in six months from now is the one people actually dug out, and your name is on the part you helped place.
What is here on day one
A supply pier, a detainee camp, an open excavation called the Cut, and an adit driven into the eastern mountain. That is it. Everything else on the plan is scheduled, funded and not yet built.
And there is something below the fourth floor that has been here longer than any of us. Nobody is going to explain that one yet.
The question everybody asks
Branches and ranks are two different things
This trips up almost everyone, and it is genuinely simple once somebody separates the two words. You hold one of each.
Branch
What you do. Which department you are in. There are five you can be in, and you are in exactly one of them.
- Administrative
- Facilities
- Security
- Mobile Vanguard
- Detainee Labour
Rank
How far up you are. Six steps, and they are the same six steps in every single department.
- Trial, your first week
- Member, works on their own
- Specialist
- Supervisor, runs a shift
- Deputy
- Director, runs the department
So why are there letters on everything
Because the names change between departments and the level does not. Facilities calls its shift runner a Foreman. Administrative calls theirs a Records Supervisor. One of those sounds more senior than the other, and they are the exact same level.
The letter is there so nobody argues about it. A Foreman and a Records Supervisor are both G3. Neither one outranks the other. That is the entire reason the grading system exists, and you can go a long time without ever needing to use the letters yourself.
The short version: your branch is your job, your rank is how far up you are, and the letter is just a label so that two people with different job titles know they are equals.
Show me the full grade table
| Grade | Role | What somebody at this level does |
|---|---|---|
| none | Contingent Asset | Everybody who joins. Not assigned to a department yet. You keep this forever, even after you are posted. |
| G0 | Initiate | Your first week. Supervised, and short. |
| G1 | Operator | Does the work on their own, on a task somebody else set. |
| G3 | Custodian | Runs a shift and the people on it. First rank with authority over anyone. |
| G5 | Director | Owns the department. Its handbook, its roster, its numbers. Also a command seat. |
| C1 | Overseer | Duty officer. Authorises operations, chairs promotion boards, handles incidents. |
| C2 | Continuum Director | Works across departments. Runs the site when the Observer is not on. |
| C3 | Observer | Final say on canon, systems and the calendar. |
G2 and G4 exist as steps inside Operator and Custodian. The camp runs a separate ladder, D0 to D3, covered further down.
How you move up
Three things, and you need all three or it does not happen.
| What | Why it is there |
|---|---|
| Time in grade | Seven days at G0, 21 at G1, 30 at G3. Run /record and the bot tells you exactly how many days you have left. |
| A number somebody can point at | Shifts worked, modules placed, escorts run, reports filed. Something countable, so nobody has to argue about who deserves it. |
| A sponsor | Somebody above you puts their name on it. Promotions are posted publicly with the numbers attached. |
Nobody signs their own promotion. The bot will refuse it, for anyone, including the person who runs the group.
Clearance, briefly
Clearance follows from your rank automatically. There is no application for it and asking for it does nothing, which is why there is no channel for requesting it.
| Level | Opens | Who has it |
|---|---|---|
| CL-1 | The camp, the pier, the Cut, Floor 1 | Everyone, from day one |
| CL-2 | The adit works, restricted stores, the tower desk | G3 and above. Security and Vanguard reach it earlier, because the far side of the Wire is where they work. |
| CL-3 | Whatever Floor 2 turns out to be | Not rankable into. Appointed. |
| CL-4 | Everything | Two people |
Pick one
The departments
Tap a department to see what you would actually be doing. Go with whichever sounds like a good evening, not whichever sounds most important.
The route nobody expects
Starting in the camp is not starting at the bottom
Detainee Labour takes anyone, instantly, with no application. That sounds like the consolation prize and it is not. The camp has its own ladder, its own economy and its own way out, and a released detainee can walk into any department in the group.
- D0 UnprocessedYou step off the boat. A number and a jumpsuit.
- D1 DetaineeProcessing takes about sixty seconds. Now you have tools, a face to work, credits, and the commissary.
- D2 TrustyThree clean shifts at output with no infractions. Unescorted inside the camp, the better commissary, and you can hold a camp job like cook, orderly or clerk.
- D3 GangerAn overseer signs off. You run a gang of four, you choose which face to work, and you take a cut of what the gang pulls out.
- Time‑ServedA release board at a credit threshold. You leave the camp, and you may apply to any department with a recommendation and skip the trial week entirely.
So you can start as a prisoner with a number and end up a Security sergeant. A fair number of the staff will have come up exactly that way, and the group is built so that route stays open.
The rhythm
The week
Two scheduled operations, same days, same time, every week. Everything else is whenever you feel like logging in.
Works shift
A mass dig. Everyone on a face at once, and the bar visibly moves during the session.
Site operation
The headline. Rotates through a full shift, a CI raid, a riot, a Vanguard selection, an inspection, and occasionally a find.
Promotion board
Public, ten minutes, numbers attached. You do not have to attend your own, and nothing is decided in private.
That is the whole commitment. Two evenings a week if you want them, and nobody is counting if you miss one.
The scoreboard
The works programme
This is the number the whole group plays against. It gets posted every morning whether it moved or not, because a number that did not move is a reason to log in.
41.2% ▲ +1.8% / 24h
DUG 412 t to the skip ▲ +18
BUILT 6 modules placed ▲ +1
BUDGET 240 units available ▼ unspent 3 days
NEXT NODE Wire, north run 68% needs timber
DRIFT 0.41 ▲
Posted daily in #works-programme. Example figures.
What moves it
| This | Does this |
|---|---|
| Digging | Raises the tonnage, which raises the bar. |
| Building | Spends the budget and places a module on the map, permanently. |
| A CI raid | Steals material and drops the bar. This is on purpose. It is what gives the next works shift a reason to exist. |
| The bar filling | A new part of the site opens for everybody, forever. |
The supply vote
When a ship is due, #manifest-vote gets three options for what it carries
and the whole server votes by reacting. One finishes something, one keeps everything
ticking, one is the only route to the deep materials. Twenty four hours, most votes
wins.
The manifest is public, and it does not stay inside this server. Make of that what you will.
And the number nobody will explain
There is a line on the board marked DRIFT. It goes up. If you ask about it you will not get an answer, and that is not staff being coy, it is the honest position for now.
The standard
How we treat each other
One line, and everything else follows from it.
Everyone here is a real person. How you treat them matters regardless of what either of you is pretending to be in-game.
In-character conflict is the game working. Security arrest detainees, raiders take your material, command makes calls that annoy people. None of that is a reason to be unkind to the actual human on the other end of it.
- Anyone can stop a sceneSay "out of character" and it stops. No questions, no consequence, and no exception for rank. If somebody says it and the scene keeps going, tell staff.
- Being new is not a faultNobody knew any of this on day one. If somebody is short with you for asking a basic question, that is on them.
- People play differentlySome are here for the roleplay, some for the fights, some to chase the lore. All fine. Do not make anyone feel their way of playing is the wrong one.
- Staff are not exemptEveryone goes through the same process, including the people who run the place.
The things that get acted on regardless
Targeted harassment, discrimination of any kind, threats including the ones framed as a joke, sharing somebody's personal information, and using a staff role to pressure anyone. Those are not grey areas and context does not change them.
If something goes wrong
Report it with specifics and you get an answer inside 48 hours, faster if anyone's safety is involved. Both sides get heard. Every outcome is logged with a reason and a name attached, and you can always ask what happened and why. If you think a decision was wrong you can appeal once, to the Arbiter, who was not part of the original call.
This is a prison camp in a horror setting. The fiction is grim. The group is not.

The decoder
Words you will hear
This genre has forty years of jargon attached to it and none of it is obvious from outside. Nobody expects you to know any of this.
Nothing matches that. Ask in #faq-desk and it will get added.
Still stuck on something
Ask in #faq-desk. There is no question in that channel that is too
basic, and "I do not know, I will find out" is an acceptable answer from any of us.
If you are trying to pick a department and nothing is landing, say what you would rather be doing on an average evening and somebody will match you to one. That works far better than reading the list again.
And if you have not started yet, you do not need any of this page to.
#cd-common is open, the boat does not check anything, and you can be
holding a tool in under a minute.
