🟣 SDK - “Text Behind Image” effects for videos and images
Implement a creative feature that allows users to place text behind subjects in both videos and images. The effect should detect the foreground (e.g., people or main objects) and render the text seamlessly behind them to create a layered, cinematic look. Example:
🟣 SDK - Claude and ChatGPT Integrations
Allow developers to connect their RVE-powered editor to AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. The integration should give end users the ability to edit and create videos through natural-language commands. For example, a user could ask the AI to add captions, trim a clip, change the aspect ratio, rearrange elements, or generate a new video structure. RVE should provide a standard integration layer that exposes supported editor actions and safely applies changes to the editor state. Developers should be able to choose which actions are available within their product.
🟣 SDK - Animations in the timeline
Add the option to add a new animation item in the timeline that it applies to all the other items. Like a whole animation that makes a zoom in → hold → zoom out
🟣 SDK - some questions!
Is the timeline state programmatically accessible/mutable via `useEditorContext` (reading and writing clips/overlays in real time), or only via props/callbacks? is there an ETA or any interest in exposing an API to control the editor from an external agent?"
🟡 Cloud Rendering - Release RVE Cloud out of beta
Take RVE Cloud (server-side render / portal / jobs / billing) from beta to a public release.
🟢 Pro - RVE Pro Version 9
Snapshot/fork of the current RVE SDK as RVE Pro Version 9 release line.

🟣 SDK - AI Avatars / UGC Characters [SPIKE]
Introduce AI Avatars into RVE.
🟣 SDK - Export to Video Tools (DaVinci, Premiere, Capcut etc.)
Investigate how RVE timelines could be exported for use in other video editors such as DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or Final Cut. OTIO (OpenTimelineIO) may be one possible format, but it’s not the main focus — the goal is simply to find the most practical export method. Objectives Review different export options for interoperability between RVE and other editors. Explore what formats are most widely supported: EDL / XML (used by Premiere, Final Cut) AAF OTIO (used by DaVinci Resolve and open-source tools) Check what information each format can store (clips, start/end, media path, transitions, text, etc.). Create a small test export from an RVE project (2–3 clips) using whichever format seems simplest to start with. Try importing into at least one major editor (DaVinci, Premiere, etc.) to evaluate compatibility.

💡 Mobile Layout Version 2
In Version 4, we removed the mobile responsive implementation to make the code easier to understand. This should be revisited in the future.
✅ Automatic Video Captions
Generate automatic video captions.
Allow Repositioning of Video Content After Resizing (Like Canva's Drag-to-Adjust Feature)
When resizing a video from one aspect ratio to another (e.g. 16:9 to 9:16), it currently auto-crops the frame — which can sometimes cut out important parts of the video. It would be amazing to have a feature like Canva’s, where after resizing, you can click or double-click on the video and drag it within the new frame to choose exactly what part of the original video stays visible. This is super useful for vertical content like Reels or TikToks, where the crop matters a lot. Having manual control to reposition the video would make the editor way more flexible and creator-friendly.
✅ Upload your own video
Ability to upload and add your own video clips to the clips section.
🟣 SDK - Clip Freeze ability
Able to freeze a video clip position time for a specific duration (that will give the option to add elements on the video like arrows, spotlight...)
💡 Drag items onto Timeline
Rather than clicking an overlay from the side panel and the item being added to the next available space in the timeline. The ability to also drag an item into place.
[🟣 SDK] Bring your own API key to generate captions
Gemini creates captions automatically on its latest model with timestamp. So if you have a connector where user can just add their api key which will automatically generate captions. Use will need option to edit transcript prompt or reset it back to original if required. This way everyone can have this AI feature.
✅ Mobile Responsive
Add mobile responsive support.

✅ Blog post 'Exporting Videos using Remotion'
Write a detailed guide on how to export videos from the Remotion Player. Assume that you already have a video rendering client-side. The blog should focus on how to export or download the fully finished video.
