# Remkus de Vries

## WordPress veteran & Performance Specialist

Hi, I’m Remkus de Vries. I educate serious WordPress builders and advise WordPress companies.

Through Within WordPress, home to The Guild, a podcast and newsletter, and through strategic guidance at Truer than North, I bring education, performance, tooling, and ecosystem strategy into alignment.

I’m passionate about making fast sites, and I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned via [my blog](https://remkusdevries.com/blog), [courses](https://withinwp.com/courses/), and [YouTube channel](https://remk.us/youtube).

## Strongman

Stumbled into the strongman scene back in 2019 and was hooked from the get-go. Atlas stones, frame carry, yoke, deadlifting, I love it.

Over at **Within WordPress**, I run a weekly newsletter and podcast that is not your typical WordPress outlet. I focus on WordPress & WordPress Tools–with a strong emphasis on performance, security, and anything WordPress Core.
