I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Software and Computer Engineering at Ajou University, where I lead the Body, Object, and Motion (BOM) Lab.

My research focuses on efficient algorithms for robot learning and computer vision in high-dimensional settings. Specifically, I work on learning control policies for dexterous, high-degree-of-freedom robotic hands, reconstructing dynamic scenes in 3D and 4D, and estimating motion from video. The common thread is understanding how bodies and objects move, and doing so efficiently enough to scale to real-world systems.Β
I received my Ph.D. from KAIST, where I was advised by Jinwoo Shin. I was also a Visiting Scholar at the Global AI Frontier Lab at New York University. Before my Ph.D., I worked with Jun-Won Choi on motion prediction for vehicles and pedestrians.
