[TSG-DPHIL]We primarily supervise doctoral students through the DPhil in Engineering Science, the AIMS CDT, and the Technical AI Governance (TAIG) Programme. We also supervise students through the ELLIS Programme.
We are open to supervising students through other Oxford CDTs or any Oxford department where the research is a good fit, subject to the programme's supervision arrangements.
Before contacting us, read our Research and Publications pages.
Possible funding routes include funded places through CDTs, TAIG studentships, Clarendon and Rhodes scholarships, external scholarships, and support from your employer. We sometimes have funding for specific doctoral projects, which we advertise on our Vacancies page.
We often try to work with prospective students on a small research project over two to three months to get a sense of how well we work together. If this interests you, please reach out early. This is not a requirement for applying.
Please include:

Please include:
[TSG-OXFORD]We welcome enquiries from current Oxford undergraduate and master's students about final-year projects, Part IV projects, MSc dissertations, internships, reading groups, and smaller research projects alongside their degree.
