    volume does matter look, i get it. if you were an engineer before agents came along, you're rightfully skeptical about lines of code and number of PRs being used as a metric for any kind of productivity. and i agree! or at least, i used to. for ease of explanation i will talk

    Can someone help me understand how shipping 100s PRs a day makes sense? Why do you need to ship so many PRs in the first place? I might just not be AI-pilled enough to understand the need for it yet, so I’m genuinely trying to understand it.

    People are just as "AI-native" as post-90s generation is "PC-native" or "Cloud-native" or "Smartphone-native": they have as much knowledge of how these tools work, or how to use these tools as the "TV-natives" were with TVs: they can find 1 or 2 relevant buttons on the remote

    Grifters gonna protect other grifters at all costs. Here's @dhh's literal first commit to Rust rewrite repo: github.com/basecamp/once-… That's *before* 300+ commits to make it work. For some reason Elixir isn't allowed to get rid of Redis and other bullshit, or have any commits

    The problem with all of this that keeps getting glossed over is that Elixir is requiring all of this special attention to get it to the numbers it can achieve. I also believe those numbers under represent Elixir's potential but this isn't a "which is fastest" benchmark. It is
