    Our new paper is out: We're exploring the intersection of electrochemical OAE and concrete waste recycling - turns out they're a match made in heaven. One produces weak waste acid and the other requires weak acid to valorize demolition waste!

    Wow 🤯 - my former post doc advisor David Baker won the Nobel Prize for Protein Design. Huge congrats - well deserved! David and his lab have been a force of nature in protein design. Incredible watching the progress over the last 20 years. #NobelPrize2024

    I get the desire to create enzymes to degrade plastics (e.g. nature.com/articles/s4158…) but if we accidentally make gigatonnes of fossil-origin carbon, currently sequestered as inert solids in landfills, accessible to bacterial metabolism.. all that turns into CO2 (or worse, CH4)
