One of the more important curves for predicting the future. Another is the Wh/$ curve for batteries. Exponential curves are incredibly hard for most people to internalize.

This is the PV experience curve. My team and I have been maintaining this version since 2007. I reckon I'm a bit of an expert on it. The thing about the law of the experience curve, it's really more like a set of guidelines.
BloombergNEF's construction of the photovoltaic module experience curve from 1976 to 2021, on a log-log scale. Shows the price coming down from nearly $100/Watt in 1976 (in 2021 dollars) to 27.1 cents in 2021. The inflation index used is the US PPI Processed Goods for Intermediate Demand, mainly because it has a nice long history.

Thank you @ReactFinland for allowing us to have a whole block of talks on #WebComponents 💙 It was an awesome week of workshopping and talking with developers about modern web tech. Thank you @m4d_z and @daKmoR for sharing this block with me. It was beyond awesome 🔥

Is it? Seems to be the same as the complexity diff between a synchronous function returning and an async function returning. (also, sorry for the quote tweets but I would reply normally but you have that turned off)

Synchronous code throwing is far less complex than async code throwing

In fairness, there's also no way of writing a sync function that is guaranteed not to throw.

When you're introducing async anything into your library/framework, you should consider the implications of that everywhere. Here in JavaScript there's no such thing as async that is guaranteed not to have an error state, so you *always* need to consider that
